| Ok, Erica has convinced me to update!! Life is great and God is even greater!! I've really learned that over the past few months!! I'm truly blessed with a wonderful, amazing husband, three beautiful little people who call me mommy, the best parents and family and great friends. VBS is over and it was a great week. I have to say I think this was one of the best. We are getting ready now for our mission trip to Cleveland. Andy & I are excited but Ashlyn is even more excited. Today was lazy family day after church. We went to lunch and then I went to Urgent Care...it really hurts for me to swallow. Aaggghhh it was nothing so just tough it out. I came home took a little nap and then we all played outside. We then went and got some sparklers and pop rocks. We did those and then sat outside for a while. Well it is getting late...okay late for me. I need to take my Tylenol PM and hit the sack. Hope all are having a great day!! Hugs to you all!! Have a marvelous Monday!

| God is good!!! Well my dad's surgery was a huge success!! It was not a tumor on his spinal cord it was a cyst. They got it, it won't come back and my dad will walk again!!! YEA!!! Can I just tell you what a huge relief!! My dad was in surgery maybe 2 1/2 hours! He's doing fantastic and he's so excited to walk!! Well I've got a lot to get done today so I can get back out to the hospital to see my dad! Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!!! LOVE YOUALL!! Thanks for praying! | | |
| Hey all!! Okay its been a while since I've updated and SORRY!!! Life...it's busy! This week is Ashlyn's spring break so I wanted to make it a fun week for her. Yesterday we played outside forever which is good being that it has been storming here all day and its supposed to get chilly here the rest of the week. I took both girls to get haircuts today and they are cute...of course. Taylor turns four on Monday! My baby girl is growing up. And for those who haven't talked to her in a while she talks!!! Wow God has really been working because a year ago she barely spoke and now its non-stop. We are going to celebrate on Sunday with family, well most of the family. We may have to wait and celebrate with nana & papa on Monday. For those of you who don't know the past week has been rough here with just some health news that we weren't expecting. Since December my dad has had knee surgery, back surgery and many tests. He wasn't walking any better and in fact getting worse. Well he went to the doctor last Tuesday after they ran a bunch of tests and found that he has a tumor on his spine. WOW...that word tumor is frightening. The doctors are optimistic that it is nothing but none the less he will be having surgery to remove the tumor on Thursday afternoon. It will be a five hour surgery and it involves the spine (scary). I know that God is a big God and He truly has it under control. I'm just ready for the surgery to be over, the results to be negative and my dad to be walking again. So I ask that you pray for my dad, mom and the doctors. Andy is taking off work on Thursday so I can go and sit with my mom at the hospital. I'll keep you updated...it might take me a while but I'll update! Anyway, thanks for the prayers! I got to go get Ashlyn ready for gymnastics! You all have a Terrific Tuesday! | Well in looking back at my 'random thoughts' from the 6th not alot really has changed. It is 10:30 in the morning and I am still in my jammies (so are the kiddo's). It is snowing and snowing and snowing and snowing!!! I LOVE THE SNOW!!!! I know I'm crazy but if its gonna be cold its gotta be snowing!! I just heard on the news that St. Charles could get up to seven inches...that is what I'm talking about..SNOW!! So needless to say I'm excited. I got up at 6am though to get ready for the day and in watching the news saw no school for any school in Missouri (ok maybe not Missouri but alot of schools). I have to say I was addicted to watching the school closings even after seeing that Willott was closed. Why do I care if Dupo, Elsberry, Little Hands Pre-School are all closed?? Addicting.... So the Helton's are chilling today well four of us are, Andy is at work. I asked if they might get off early..doubt it. Well I know that you are all wanting to know about my life since the last entry...prepare for some excitement. Well last Friday Ashlyn got an award from school for demonstrating Godly character for the Kindergarten classes. Needless to say Andy & I just praised her all weekend. We took her to Oberweis Friday night then Erica and Oakley friends came over. We ate popcorn, candy and drank cheap soda. It was a lot of fun just hanging out. (We like your friends Erica) Saturday Andy had audit up at church so the kids & I met my parents for breakfast, ran errands and went to a birthday party that night. Sunday we did the church thing and rested. Monday I had to go to St. Charles County realtor orientation for THREE hours. I know exciting! Then I ran like a crazy woman to get everything for Ashlyn's Valentine party that is supposed to happen tomorrow but I doubt there will be school. I have another orientation tommorrow morning and off to the party. Andy is going to Taylor's party. But looking outside I think the Heltons are in for a while. I do want to ask you to pray though my parents are on their way to the hospital. My dad is scheduled to have back surgery today at 1pm. I asked him this morning if he was nervous and he said he hasn't slept in days because of the pain and he's ready to get rid of the pain. So he should be in the hospital for 24 hours and then at home for a long time recouperating. So pray for their safty in driving to the hospital (they said they've seen many accidents) and for my dad's surgery to be successful. Well I'm going to go and try to be productive with my day!! - American Idol is on tonight & Survivor starts this week!!!!!
